I’m Dr Lau Leok Lim, Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in Spine Surgery at Orthopaedic and Hand Surgery Partners (OHP) . I joined OHP — a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering coordinated, evidence‑based care — to provide honest guidance for individuals navigating spine conditions and scoliosis. My focus is on helping patients understand their condition clearly and offering treatment options tailored to their needs.
Whether you’re considering physical therapy, bracing, non‑surgical interventions, or advanced surgical techniques, my aim is to help you make informed, confident decisions. Every recommendation is grounded in transparency, collaboration, and the latest clinical evidence.
If your care requires expertise beyond what we provide within OHP, I will guide you to the most appropriate specialist. Your health always comes first, and that means connecting you with the right people — even outside our clinic.
Our vision is to redefine spine care through precision, compassion, and long‑term partnership. Our values are rooted in warmth, openness, and presence. We believe exceptional care begins with being affable, approachable, and available — always centred around you.

Meet Dr Lau
Children’s spines undergo rapid growth and are more flexible and neurologically distinct.
They’re prone to conditions such as scoliosis, kyphosis, and spondylolisthesis.
Early detection and growth‑sensitive care are essential to prevent long‑term deformity and support healthy spinal development.

Adolescent spines undergo rapid growth and hormonal changes, making them prone to scoliosis, hyperkyphosis, and back pain.
Monitoring during puberty is vital, as spinal curves can progress quickly and impact posture, function, and long‑term musculoskeletal health.

The adult spine, fully matured, supports mobility and daily function.
Trauma, degeneration, inflammation, and repetitive strain can disrupt biomechanics, causing pain and reduced flexibility.
Proactive care helps preserve spinal health and sustain quality of life.

The aging spine undergoes disc dehydration, bone loss, and joint degeneration.
These changes increase the risk of joint pain, fractures, and deformity.
Managing osteoporosis, mobility, and comorbidities is key to preserving function and quality of life in older adults.
